WATCH: Neymar Will Be Left Out of Real Madrid Squad for Liverpool

Must read

The Gunners had been in control for much of the game but the goal from Luis Suarez in the 75th minute allowed Barca to pull level and then later take the lead. Alexis Sanchez had put Arsenal ahead with a deflected goal in the seventh minute, but Sevilla were level three minutes before half-time thanks to a powerfully-struck free kick from Wissam Ben Yedder.

La Liga was fiercely contested, with three all-Premier League sides finishing with points, while Pep Guardiola’s side lead the table by three points from Barcelona after winning a record 30th King’s Cup earlier in the season.

Arsene Wenger has some selection headaches ahead of Sunday’s crucial clash with Everton, with Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny dropping to the bench and Jack Wilshere seeing his place as the left-sided midfielder taken by Aaron Ramsey.

Wenger also thought Danny Welbeck should have seen red for a challenge on Roberto Soldado in the second half.

“First of all I believe that Danny Welbeck should have been sent off and secondly I’m satisfied with the performance of the players,” Wenger said.

“What did he do? He checked his tackle, the damage was bad and that’s why the referee took action, but (he should not have been sent off).

“The tackle on Roberto is bad, but everything else was very, very good. I’m very pleased with the intensity of the performance, despite the harsh conditions in the first half, because we lost a bit of concentration and then they got very punished.”
