There was barely room at the fest for real ale drinkers to sit.
1. The crowds roared. Some drank in the pouring rain, to the loud whoops and cheers of their own fellow attendees.
2. After the storm cleared, and the real ale drinkers stood to pose with the real ale makers, who included some of the greatest brewers of the 21st century.
3. The headstones then began to glow red, much like the glowing saison, IPAs and Berliner Weisse the beer fans were drinking that day.
At the booth for the city’s Bloody Mary Society, DD Ladle and Greg Penna warmed up some Frankford gin and tonic for the tasting session. https://www.facebook.com/LouderThanHell/photos/a.8665723-6465664
Back in the middle of the beer festival, the tasting “tables” were packed with real ale drinkers who had come to the Central Maryland Fan Club al fresco tappings to sample sour beers from breweries like Modelo, Troegs, Four Roses and Victory.
Those tasting back at the cemetery were no less enthusiastic.
